I recently became a U.S. citizen through naturalization May 2024 and filed an I-130 for my spouse July 2024 and child Dec 2024. However, I was informed that I cannot transfer citizenship to my baby due to not meeting the physical presence requirement. Given the current immigration process, how long does it usually take for a spouse and child to go through consular processing? Also, I received a USCIS update stating that an action was taken on my case Dec12,2024, but I don’t see any changes yet—what should I expect?”
