Hillary Clinton is overhated, and lost because of James comey.
I've always thought Comey's letter is what cost Hillary the election, so it's shocking how many people think it was because she was just a "bad candidate". She:
-ran one of the closest primaries in history against one of the best candidates of all time (obama), and arguably won the popular vote
-Beat Bernie by millions of voters
-and won the popular vote by 3M votes
This is after a lot of hurdles:
-the whole email thing
-Russian interference
**-**running after 2 democratic terms
-Republicans trying to smear her name for decades
-Sexism
The idea that she lost because she "didn't campaign in the rust belt" isn't right, either; The only time those states were even remotely competitive was after the Comey letter, Which was way too late in the game to for her to change her strategy.
In short, she lost because she got more votes, just not in the right places.
Do with that what you will.
But the idea that she's "Unpopular" is odd ***(***Her approval ratings were 68% in 2012. They only dropped in 2015 because that's when republicans started the propaganda machine).
This isn't to say She ran a perfect campaign, but I think this opinion is fair. Unless you want to bring up random conspiracies (like how she's apparently hires hitmen) then I think this opinion is fair.
