Anyone else cringe when they hear this? (Apologetics)

Has anyone else cringed when they hear “Oh, he’s an apologist” as if that position or title somehow invalidates their points in an argument in favor of Christianity?

Put another way, somebody could view a famous apologist as, say, William lane Craig, and say, “he’s an apologist, you’re better off listening to somebody else on this matter.”. When it pertains to a biblical doctrine, when William Lane Craig has a PhD in theology and philosophy, he is still a credible source academically and professionally.

Having a degree does not make you infallible in your respective subject matter, nor does being an apologist, and apologists get things wrong sometimes, but does anyone else cringe when people try to dismiss an apologist simply because he or she is one?
