Someone has stolen my name, what should I do?

Someone has recently stolen my name, well a very close variation of it and keeps saying awfully racist things. Quite often we end up in the same game and people assume I am multiaccounting too. Should I just pay to change my name or would reporting the account do anything?

Edit: for clarification, they are using an almost exact copy of my account name.
