Boss BF-2: The sound of mid '90s Adam Jones.

For the guitar nerds out there: when someone talks about the Tool guitar tone Marshalls, Diezels and Silverburst Les Pauls are highly rated, but maybe it's me, but I hear talking about the Boss BF-2 and its liquid, metallic texture way less than it deserves. After all I think that's the signature sound of Aenima and Salival, such a big part of Tool history. Maybe it's like this because the pedal sadly disappeared from the studio sound of Adam Jones since Lateralus (exept for the climax of The Patient if I'm not wrong) and now it's relegated to his live rig. I hope is going to come back somehow in the unlikely 6th album someday...foolish, I know, but hey, we're still allowed to dream! What do you think? Do you like that cold textured metallic chorused sound or do you think it was swapped for better?
