No air after kicking off + underwater dolphin kick. Need advice.
When I kick off, the longest I can do right now is between 8-10 meters before I surface to the water and start doing free.
I can’t just seem to get the timing right for my breath. I inhale right before I submerge my head and kick off, then when I feel myself start to surface or ascend I’m nearly out air and almost gasp when I take a breath in my first or second pull.
I thought that maybe I was over exerting my dolphin but when I tried doing it without kicks as I surface it’s still the same.
I don’t understand why because I can swim 20-25m free (no kick off) in one breath but not when I kick off like this.
