How long to wait before switching jewelry after a septum stretch

So I just got my 6g glass pincher in yesterday, it doesn’t hurt anymore beyond a dull pain that doesn’t last very long, but the o rings are a little bothersome. At what point should I wait to switch to my clicker? It’s pretty big in diameter so it might cause more irritation, but something without brings might be the lesser of two evils. Not sure though!
