Matchmaking Tiers Question

Was fortunate enough to unlock the FAMAS as a relatively new player, currently at max Bar and siding with a subfaction to move on to the North. I have the Veteran suit from the Season Pass equipped alongside a blue M4A1 and the Veteran shotgun pistol. I accidentally equipped the FAMAS during my excitement, am I screwed forever now when it comes to Tier matchmaking or if I keep my M4A1 equipped will it count my current gear score when it comes to Matchmaking?
