Update: So I went to Baltimore...

...and I have a newfound appreciation for Saint Louis. I thought our cities would be similar, but they absolutely were not. Baltimore was the epitome of grunge, grime, and sketch; its food scene was underwhelming, and its park system couldn't hold a candle to Saint Louis. Architecturally, it was much weaker than Saint Louis as well - full of rowhomes that look exactly identical the one next to it, low on green space. All around it was quite dirty.

The thing Baltimore had going for it was its location - proximity to the mountains, the ocean, and other cities. Aside from that though? Saint Louis is the clear winner.

TL;DR: Baltimore is not "Saint Louis of the East", don't go there with that expectation. Appreciate what you have.
