Common Projects Sizing

I am a bit confused about Common Projects Shoe Sizing. Would rather not do an exchange as that would run me about 75EURO.

In Nike Air Max I am usually a UK size 7 (which would be a US 8). Would an Italian 40 for the retro low top fit?
