Seeking adventure!

My sim is in France and I desperately want to investigate the Landgraab chateau but I can’t do so properly until I’m asked to by Albert Fouchier (I befriended him) and he WON'T ASK! What do I do? I keep clicking on the sign that says "check for adventures!" but it’s not helping and my sim only has a limited amount of time in France. Please help 🙏
