Foreign military personnel planning to become citizen.

Hello, I'm a foreign military personnel (pilot) who's commitment is coming to an end. I'm planning to become US citizen via some ways. Is my military service in my home country a problem for my security clearance? I also want to work for NASA in future. How are my chances to get a security clearance and work for NASA?
