UPDATE: The Invictus merch has hit the shelves...

Good morning from the snowy Lower Mainland Sinners!

I am providing an update on the Invictus merch being sold in a prominent local chain here in BC.
Full disclaimer: I love London Drugs and am not boycotting their stores.

I popped into one of their downtown locations last night, and noticed there was even more variety of (unsold) Invictus merchandise, with a few more signs.

Photos in comments, apologies for any confusion, I'm not as technologically advanced as I thought. Imgur doesn't want to link, apologies.

Photo one, the most prominent signage, has no underlying caveats. Sounds true, right? Keep going...

Photo two, now placed in the cards section, asks purchasers to buy two greeting cards and $2 will be donated to Invictus. The small print indicates a maximum donation of $20K, with "all donations support programs for wounded and sick military members, making a real difference in their recovery journey". Alternatively, that's maybe one outfit for our Saint.

Photo three, same merch as my previous post, with the additions of scarves ($49.99, 100% acrylic, Made in China), a thin long-sleeved shirt, lapel pins and hotel key chains.

Photo four, another $2 program (this one perhaps closed on January 24th according to the small print) with funding going to the True Patriot Love foundation, the local and Canadian organization supporting Canadian participants. I hope they get every dollar from this program, as the veterans are the ones who truly need the support.

I bit the bullet and asked two staff members about the merch. One had no idea what I was talking about, they said they had never heard of Invictus nor were they aware of the merchandise display. The second one said it wasn't selling and asked me if I wanted to buy some. LOL.

Lessons: Make your own (Valentine) cards, donate directly to veterans organizations you have thoroughly researched and who give 100% of donations to the people who need it most, and always read the small print.
