Anyone else watch this show skipping all the scenes of the detective’s personal lives?

Like, I genuinely have no idea what’s going on in these people’s lives and I really don’t care. I’m a traditionalist with SVU and absolutely despise the amount of scenes we have with the detectives that have nothing to do with the cases. I literally just watch this for the cases. I do enjoy old episodes more but having watched each at least 20 times, I’ve started watching the new seasons and every time there’s any benson (non episode relevant) scenes I skip skip skip to the point where I’ve watched up to season 25 and could not tell you what’s going on in their lives. I’ve never even watched the William Lewis episodes.

I know from the subreddit and just general knowledge that Rollins and Carisi are together, that they have a kid, I know about Noah (god I dislike his scenes the most, no hate to the kid himself, just the amount of screen time he and benson have together is ridiculous SKIP).

SVU is my comfort show, I love that for the most part I get a full story line in 50mins and don’t have to watch in order. The amount of background we used to get into the detectives lives prior to S13 was just perfect for me.

I know it’s a popular opinion here that half the people like the new format and the other half hates it but how many of us literally skip through all that?

Edit: been in this subreddit a long time and i guess I finally found a truly unpopular opinion lol.
