Does anyone use only one sidearm?

I am wanting to create a realistic, immersive experience in this game, and a big part of that is creating a realistic load out. I’m thinking about only using one side arm, since the practice of dual wielding is almost complete made up for movies. A second holster would, in most cases, be used to carry a second gun for when you ran out of ammo in the first. You however can’t play RDR2 this way, since your character automatically reloads when you run out. Because of this, I’m thinking it would be better to carry only one side arm. Or perhaps carrying two different sidearms? Does anyone else play like this? If so, what is your solution?
