How does a solo player use the Bounty Wagon?

When I ride up to a hideout - a few get on horses and flee. I’m not catching up to them with the wagon. Even if I bola 3 of them, or even 4.. bounties with five or six targets - I’m not getting them all alive.

Other than having a posse - is there any way to do four or more people in one bounty solo - without killing targets?

TLDR: I ride up - bola a few, shoot the enemies. Shoot fleeing targets - while hogtying the targets I bola’d. I have not been able to capture all five or six alive.
