I JUST HAD MY MIT INTERVIEW…INCREDIBLE !!!
I am an African American QB applicant in the northeast. I got so lucky. My interviewer was the sweetest old man who went on and on about how MIT then and MIT today were so much different and his lucky I am to have all these new opportunities. Through the entire interview he only asked me 3 questions (yes for the entire hour). Tell me about yourself. What led to you choosing your major? What do you hope to accomplish when college is over? I was pretty confident and quick with my answers. I knew I hit it in the nose when I described an experience in my past that drove me to my major and he started talking about a similar experience in his childhood for 10 min. DIDN’T ASK A SINGLE “WHY MIT” QUESTION IN ANY FORM, which scared me at first. But, after we approached the end he basically told me how he could see I had a life plan, a good drive, a passion, and an attainable goal. He said he would make sure to convey as much good as he could to the AO. I’m so thankful!!
