How technical are you?

Hello,

I was wondering how technical are you with the technical backend parts of your product. Do you know what all modules do? Are you familiar with the repositories and deployment stuff that you actually manage to think how to improve those stuff and processes?

I was requested to document the whole technical infrastructure backend stuff ever since the product was created (3 years old product), and to suggest areas of improvement and understanding in this area. Is it common?

I am a Product Manager for a cyber start up and I mainly do Sprint planning, Roadmaps, Interviews and UX, and this is my first PM job.
