Anyone into pirating old games? Need some help!

Just downloaded Bud Readhead: The Time Chase. Never got to finish this game as a kid because I had no idea how to get its full version. The problem is the game is lagging on Windows 11 laptops - tried 2 different devices and the FPS stays between 7 and 12. I tried windows xp compatibility modes but that doesn't work.

If anyone has any experience getting old games to work on modern systems, please help a brother out!
