Anyone have any hole punching tips?

So, hypothetically, I've taped my work and I'm getting ready to put holes in it. I use a skewer but after about 5 minutes my hand starts to cramp. I've tried using the peg board but it end up pushing out all the beads and I've tried taping the skewer to be more comfortable but it slipped off. I also do want to buy anything. Any tips?
