My motherboard doesn’t have enough space for a wifi board, so I bought a usb wifi thing and it’s crap. Any suggestions?

I’m trying to play RuneScape and marvel rivals, and both games randomly freeze and i get kicked sometimes. The only way I can get Ethernet is if I run it through my whole house which would suck. Anyone know of any wifi USB’s that are actually good? Or is there a way to kind of extend my motherboard to put a wifi board on it?
