3 weeks in with Omnipod, 2 failed pods, and scary high blood sugar tonight

I am frustrated beyond believe. After a failed pod on Saturday. I had another warning come up about going into manual mode and due to high blood sugar. I have been on this pod since yesterday and hadn’t eaten or drank anything besides water since 1pm. After work I check my blood sugar and it’s over 300 and then when I got home over 400. I was terrified I was going to go into DKA. I took the pod off and dosed a correction injection and also a 14 unit long lasting dose to get me through the night. I’m scared to put a new pod on with this high of a blood sugar. It’s gone down a tiny bit, but I’ve been feeling a little sick and also might be close to “that time of the month” - what are some tricks and tips to help combat these highs? Especially when sick or during that time of the month. I plan to put a new pod on in the morning, is riding my sick time out on manual mode the best way to go? Any and all help would be appreciated - I am still learning how to use a pump, 15 years of straight injections and technology has been more of a bitch :( I’m frustrated and just want to be more level and feel better.
