Is the Quest 3 resolution a huge upgrade compared to Quest 2 upscaled to 2048px?

I've modded my quest 2 to run at 2048px and the difference is huge already. Has anyone upgraded from an upscaled Quest 2 to the Quest 3 and if so, could you tell me if the difference was still massive?

(Strictly talking about resolution, I am aware of the better chip and lenses)
