Online doctor recommendations for Mounjaro

Hello, all.

About 1.5yrs ago, I decided it was time to take care of myself. I hired a personal trainer (I was at nearly 40% body fat), ate better, and about 1yr later was down 15lbs and 36% body fat. My labs still showed being pre-diabetic. My doctor then prescribed 2.5 of Mounjaro to help with to dose increasing to 5 about 2 months ago. I’m currently 155lbs and at 32% body fat. This is being on Mounjaro for about 6 months. I never actually got an Rx from this office. They had a partnership with a compounding pharmacy and had the meds shipped to my house. It was about $350 for two months of medication.

I recently moved out of state for a significantly better job opportunity. I needed a refill on the meds. But my new doctor said based on my A1c I’m no longer pre-diabetic and cannot get Mounjaro. He recommended Zepbound. Despite my BMI being around 28.5, my insurance, even with peer to peer, will not approve it. My old doctor will not prescribe out of state.

I have about 2 more doses left. I would prefer to continue on the meds as they have helped A LOT, and I have a goal of getting down to about 28% body fat, but I cannot get an Rx. I looked into just paying for it out of pocket but it’s over $1,000 A MONTH.

TLDR: I feel I have to resort to an online compounding pharmacy. Does anyone have any recs or experiences?? Any thoughts are appreciated :)
