New Release: Aer Simple Tote - First Impressions
Here’s the quick breakdown:
Target use: Ultralight EDC and travel
Standout feature: Ultra fabric
Potential drawbacks: Not great for weather resistance due to the open tops on all pockets
Photo #1 - Worn on me (I'm 5'8)
Photo #2 - Side view
Photo #3 - Close-up of the front…
Photo #4 - Close-up of the Ultra fabric - you'll either love it or hate it
Photo #5 - Close-up of the handles - they’re simple and a bit coarse
Photo #6 - Close-up of the Fidlock V-Buckle - may be overkill for this tote.
Photo #7 - No internal lining, this is the laminated backside of the Ultra fabric
Photo #8 - The front pockets have a good bit of extra volume
Photo #9 - The main pocket is roomy - paper towel roll for reference.
Pros:
✅ 14 liters of total volume - great size for a tote.
✅ Two front pockets feature their own volume and drainage holes.
✅ External lash points.
Cons:
❌ Fidlock V-Buckle is an odd choice for such a simple tote - heavy and potentially complicated compared to the rest of the tote.
❌ No interior organization inside the pockets.
❌ No lining; the bag's interior is the Ultra fabric's laminate.
Would love to hear your thoughts - would you consider grabbing this tote?
