Broker lying on my application?
I am applying for life insurance and looked over the application my broker submitted for me. I answered his questions over the phone and he put in the answers. Here are a few examples.
The application asked if I have used tobacco products over the past 10 years. I told him its been about 7-8 years and when I used them it was seldom and in social situations. He marked “no” on the application.
Another example is he asked about high cholesterol. I told him when I went to the doctor a couple months ago my cholesterol was high. He asked if I took medication for it and I said no. He marked no on the application. But I found out my cardiologist actually diagnosed me with pure hypercholesterolemia (genetically inherited high cholesterol).
He asked me the same thing about blood pressure (if I was on medication). I told him I’ve had high blood pressure in the past but never took meds for it and its lowered now. So I have no clue if I'm actually “diagnosed” as having high blood pressure.
These things are stressing me out because I’m not sure if he's doing this so I get approved and he gets paid? I want everything that should be included to be accurate because 1. I don't want to get denied if he wasn’t truthful and 2. I don’t want to risk a claim getting denied in the future if something wasn't reported that should have been.
