Seeking Advice on Apple Hiring Process Delays

I could use some advice on a situation I’m dealing with. I was laid off from my network analyst position here in Canada last August and applied for a product engineer role (not software-based) at Apple Canada. Here's the timeline of events:

• November 2023 : Had my first interview. Got selected for the next round right away
• December 2023: Second interview with the hiring manager, which was technical.
• Three months of silence: The recruiter eventually told me they were on a hiring freeze.
• March 2024: Third interview with a senior manager in California. Followed up twice with the recruiter but got no response.
• May 2024: Five weeks ago, I had 6 one-on-one technical interviews with different teams at Apple. Since then, I haven’t received any response despite following up twice.

Is this kind of delay normal at Apple? How can I find out the status of my application?

TL;DR: Interviewed for a product engineer role at Apple Canada, experienced long periods of no communication, and still haven't heard back after multiple follow-ups. Is this normal for Apple, and how can I get an update on my status?
