Recommendation for used tires?

Where's the best place in town to get some used tires? To make a long story short, I'm going to do some diy suspension work, but the parts are going to take a bit to get here. In the meantime, I'd prefer tires that have some tread, but don't want to buy new tires with my bad suspension.
