Asked therapist to leave room furring session and she said no
Hello,
I see on here a lot of people doing ketamine therapy without anyone in the room and I got a no. I feel very self conscious when someone is I. The room and it makes me uncomfortable which seems like it could cause worse results. I will just copy paste her email response below.
“I asked about me not being in the room with you tomorrow. Because it is an anesthetic medication, someone needs to be in the room at all times with you, for safety. We cannot leave clients unattended who are having the experiential session.”
Is this because it is IM or a law? Also live in Minnesota.
Edit: thank you for all of the responses. I tried replying to as many as I could and am glad I shared. I have a session tomorrow and I think talking about this could help me be less self conscious and if not now I know there are many clinics and they all can do it differently.
