Does anyone know how മഞ്ഞ പൊടി ഉപ്പുമാവ് was made ?
I saw a post on Amrutham podi, which made me reminisce about such another item that was given to anganawadi and primary school children in 80s and 90s. It was an uppumavu in yellow colour, it was very very tasty. I have never tasted anything like that ever again. I used to go to the anganawadi just to have it. We got to know that it was made from corn meal and milk powder imported from the US as the part of some food programme, tried to replicate it at home, but never got the same taste. I think there were more things in it than just corn meal. Perhaps it was some mix like Amrutham podi. Does anyone know what was this made of? Please share if you do!
