Ninja 500 first bike

How is the Ninja 500 as a first bike?
The only downside I see is the fact its brand new so no used models like the 400.
Since its brand new its not really tested out too.
I've had my eye on the Ninja 400 and CBR500R but I'm thinking about the 500 now
Looking for a daily first bike and lots of dead beaten up 400s and CBR500Rs. Not that easy to find a good one.
Lots of 4+ owners bikes and with pretty high km count (+40k km).
