Novice Asia Traveler searching for traditional architecture and atmosphere

Hello,

I've booked a 22-day trip to Japan, and I'm really excited! While working on my itinerary, I came across the Gion District as a must-visit spot. However, I haven't found many other streets or areas with the same kind of traditional architecture and atmosphere.

I’m eager to explore more places like this and capture some amazing photos. Do you have any recommendations for similar historic streets or districts beyond Gion? I’ll be visiting Osaka, Nara, Kyoto, Nagoya, and Tokyo.
