Advice for taking a drop year/pseudo drop year.

I am a 24' JEE aspirant, with 89.02%ile in Jan attempt (27s1) while attempting 61 questions, while getting around 93%ile in Maths, 86%ile in Physics, 78% in Chemistry.

Before my first attempt, I had already lost a lot of confidence on myself just before a week when I had attempted a few mocks on the Embibe platform and used to score around 130-140 ish only.

I became dead serious that I only wanted IIT as my college and started preparing for a much better percentile from the very next day of my shift. This time I tried to consistently put 14-16 study hours and tried to get the maximum score in boards and as time passed, I was thoda confident about my preparation for the second attempt.

I attempted all the January shift papers as mocks, solved 2000+ pyqs. I used to have panic attacks that I would still ruin my paper, and I would end up nowhere despite 2 years of JEE preparation. I also thought that the reason I was able to get 170-210 marks in my Jan mocks was because I had already solved some of the questions as pyqs from the marks app.

But nonetheless, I got 9s2 and I was only able to attempt 52 questions(I felt the paper was tough), and after I returned home, I was depressed that after everything I could still not have the satisfaction and perhaps ruined my only chance of getting a decent %ile, and getting into IIT.

I don't know whether I would be able clear the cut off for this year, kyuki whatever questions I had checked, galat hora tha mereko 4-5 galtiya dikh chuki thi, and I didn't wanna see the rest kyuki mein pura hi depressed ho jata.

Mereko samajh ni aara ki what should I do, whether I should already start preparing for advanced or not, whether I should take a pseudo drop or a proper drop. My parents are not really that supportive about taking a drop.

For backup exams I have filled for BITSAT, VITEEE, IPMAT, GGSIUD, NMIMS.

Mereko sachme IIT hi jana hai yaar, I am dead serious about this one. Thoda sa guidance dedo yaar.
