GoW Misconceptions and Lore

So I see a lot of people either have information wrong or simply don't know about it, so I'm going to share some stuff from the novels and background lore/information in order to explain some of it better. Strap yourself in if you want to read them all, but at the bottom of the post I'm going to leave a link with the Album that has all the information I got these from so you don't need to read them all.

If you just want to know Greek info. 1-28 and 43-46 talk about them while 29-42 and 47-48 talk about the Norse info, 43 also says a little about the Norse world as well.

  1. Kratos still has a piece of Hope, Cory says it in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nhCjfFSsNHw&feature=youtu.be&t=442 at around 7:30 so he may eventually use that power again.
  2. Kratos has magic space for his weapons, not exactly important I know, but just figured I'd say it https://i.imgur.com/rJFVDzZ.png this link shows it.
  3. Kratos get's power from Rage which I'm sure most people knew but a Dev. confirms it here https://i.imgur.com/ut5HUIP.jpg he also confirms that no other character has that ability and it is unique to Kratos, so it could be considered his "true" Godly power.
  4. The novels are cannon as long as it doesn't contradict the game's story, in which case the game's story takes precedence Stig and Ariel say this https://i.imgur.com/ISZNg4K.png and https://i.imgur.com/8zPNHyu.png so as long as nothing contradicts the game the novels are cannon.
  5. Cronos is only slightly weaker than Atlas https://i.imgur.com/RGLDup4.png meaning Kratos stopping his whole arm is even more impressive than most think.
  6. Olympus is tall as hell taking three days just to fall from the top of it down to the Earth, and three more days to fall into the Underworld, but the Gods can go up and down it much faster https://i.imgur.com/jgSDoTr.jpg meaning Kratos fell for a while when he was knocked off of Gaia https://i.imgur.com/xmjc85U.jpg as a Dev. confirmed.

  8. Pollux and Caster can use Time Stop with the amulet of Uroborous and did so against Kratos but he can resist it https://i.imgur.com/18t5cYS.jpg this makes sense as in GoW 2 when he enters the Fates Palace everything is frozen but he can still move even if he is slowed down.
  9. Hades gets stronger from souls as he himself says https://i.imgur.com/Uh6IdKx.png so the version Kratos fights is more powerful than the one who fought and took Atlas's soul.
  10. Tisiphone, one of the Furies, illusions were real and could actually attack https://i.imgur.com/P30fS0F.png pretty obvious, but wanted to say it anyway.
  11. Kratos has mind manipulation resistance https://i.imgur.com/y6aUrr2.png as shown when fighting Persephone.
  12. All myths are valid despite contradiction https://i.imgur.com/tAFsq50.png meaning the Primordials still made the Greek universe and Ymir made the Norse one.
