surfing in cs2 has a major issue

On nearly all maps and servers, ramps will randomly bring you to a complete stop, or they'll send you directly upwards.
This almost always happens when riding or leaving curved ramps, and its usually on joints, but I've had it occasionally happen on normal ramps too. Past that, I haven't been able narrow it down to anything more specific. It seems to happen at any angle or speed.
The only map I haven't had trouble with is surf_kitsune, likely because it has no curved ramps.

I don't know if this is caused by bad ports, bad servers, or if it's something about cs2, but it's borderline unplayable sometimes. It's very frustrating for any given run to have a 40% chance of being ruined for no reason.
