Alternatives to Brimonidine for narrow angles.
I was recently diagnosed with narrow angles (no glaucoma yet). I’m awaiting further assessment to see if I’m a candidate for iridotomy.
I’m currently on Brimonidine twice a day & it’s making my eyes really dry & gritty. I was adviced by my Optometrist that Latanoprost wasn’t ideal for narrow angles as it increases drainage. So, if my angles were to close (with the excess drainage having nowhere to go), it could lead to a very rapid build up of IOP causing a medical emergency. So no prostaglandin analogues for me.
Experiences changing drops from other narrow anglers welcome 🙂
