How has the cutesy-ifacation of your fandom ruined a charecter?

Personally, people writing Fulgrim as just a silly guy get on my nerves.

He is not just a silly guy but a demigod who has to struggle with the responsibility of wearing the Emperors very own symbol and being the weakest legion.

Even when he is a Daemon people still make him Cutesy even though he is very much evil. Even the other evil factions have given up fighting cause they hate that they are being associated with the drugged out torture snake.
