Elliot probably needs a nerf.
Elliot is pretty broken strong right now.
Wow, what a shocker! The survivor who can heal other players for a large chunk of their HP relatively quickly while in the middle of chase is pretty good!
I main Elliot, also. I think he takes a solid amount of skill to play and you have to rely on a lot of jukes and dodges when your teammates can’t help you. But man, his gameplay is so simple and easy sometimes, especially against newer killers. This is what you’ll be doing 95% of the time:
Run into the middle of a chase (ideally with rush hour)
Throw a pizza at the injured person being chased
Rush hour away before the killer can beat you up.
“Oh, but he has low HP so he can get tunneled out easily!” Yeah, but if his teammates are actually protecting him or god forbid there’s ANOTHER Elliot? That becomes exponentially harder, and this is ignoring Rush Hour and the fact that he’ll usually be able to use it TWICE in one chase.
Let’s compare Elliot with the other support class, Builderman.
Builderman has to set up a sentry in advance to help him escape a chase, and even then it can be destroyed rather easily. Elliot has to press a button.
Builderman has to set up a dispenser in advance to heal his teammates (and himself, to be fair), which has the downside of funneling all of his team to one spot AND takes a while to heal. Elliot has to press a button and look at who they want to heal.
Elliot should probably get a nerf or downside, to make playing him have a higher risk to match his already very high reward.
Here’s a few ideas;
-Elliot gains weakness/slowness for a few seconds after throwing a pizza, making him much more punishable for getting cocky.
-Killers can steal pizzas from the ground, stopping the heal if they reach it first. This means Elliot’s have to actually throw the pizza in a good position.
-Pizzas take a second or two to kick in, and cancel if hit, similar to shedletsky’s chicken. The player getting healed now will still probably die if hit immediately after healing.
-Elliot has a longer windup to throwing the pizza. This animation can be cancelled if hit. Means Elliot can get punished if they try to heal while too close to the killer.
-Nerf Elliot’s healing against other Elliot’s for each Elliot in game. Pretty simple, stops Elliot’s from constantly healing each other.
