Expensive Breadcrumbs

Today, I received a gift in the mail from my ex, no message attached to it, just a paper with it that said: "From Ex." Feeling shocked and confused, especially since my last post yesterday about longing for him. I cried for a bit. Not sure what I'm supposed to do now. I haven't spoken to him in many many weeks. Is this a breadcrumb? It's an item I always wanted, but could never bring myself to purchase due to the expense (~200 bucks) and he knew this. Why is he sending me this? Why now? Should I send it back? Friends think I should keep it and just ignore him. Should I reach out and just say 'Thank You'? CONFUSED.
