Spaying imminent; advice please!

I have a Chow & a Shar Pei, they are both being spayed next Monday. My chow previously had ear surgery and her vet issued cone soon smelled like a sewage works and no matter how often I cleaned it, it was just godawful, she was also very uncomfortable. I have seen online inflatable cones and after surgery bodysuits. Can anyone with any experience please tell me which are better, or if they are just a gimmick & it's best to just have the normal cone. I want them to be as comfortable as possible. Thank you!!
