Migrating from ESA to UC - Questions on proof section
I have to migrate to UC from ESA IR, I am in the support group. I was hoping it would be done automatically but seems not.
Here are some questions........
I can tick "Already claiming ESA" on the UC sign up forms, do I still have to supply proof ? Can't they just see my address is the same already on file for ESA ?
Oddly I haven't been asked for my NI number, am I meant to put that anywhere ?
I have a driving license but my passport is long out of date, as a child in 1997. How can I make sure I pass these checks without needing the hassle of a phone call or job centre visit ? Is a photo driving license enough, if not will a debit card be good enough to go with it ? I am long term disabled so I don't have pay slips.
I live with my mother but I have my own phone number, so we have 2 landline numbers under different companies (hers BT, mine Zen), but all other utility bills are in her name. What sort of geographic (or credit references or records) info would be held about me ? My phone is with Zen but no idea if that info would be under BT or not as it uses their network. I also have a credit card.
Are "credit references or records" the same as "geographic info" ? If not, how do they differ ? One says it is by phone (geographic) and the other online (credit references or records).
Is there any way to find out what info is held about me that may be asked ? I have an Experian account, but that doesn't seem to list any specific info other than what I have borrowed and my score, would a paid for version of Experian tell me much more ? Such as what my phone provider is down as and bank account info, etc, that I would likely be asked about.
If I get my passport renewed it will take 4 weeks, this will go over my deadline, how long can they extend my deadline by ? I had no idea it took so long to renew a passport, I tried to select "urgent" on the renewal site but because my passport is a child one that expired in 1997 they can't do that.
Thanks for any help.
