*Non-Americans* what are some holidays or festivities your culture has where you eat a specific type of food?

Growing up, I had parents that hated holidays. They would "celebrate" the big ones out of obligation, but they definitely were not festive or fun events. I've been trying to find new traditions for myself, and one of the ways I've been doing that has been trying to explore different food traditions around the world. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to share some of your culture's holiday foods - from a non-American lens. (American, for all intents and purposes, here relating to national holidays in the US).

Some that I have noted in my calendar:
Dec 31/Jan1 - New Year's (many worldwide traditions)
Jan 6 - Epiphany (galette des rois)
CNY/Lunar New Year/Tet/Seollal/etc - various
Setsubun - ehomaki
Fat Tuesday/Shrove Tuesday/Pancake Day - pancakes or a king cake
March 9 - Mucenici (off the top of my head, I think some type of sweet leavened bread?)
Purim - hamantaschen
Passover - matzo ball soup
April 14 - single's day (black food/jjajangmyeon)
Easter - hot cross buns, eggs
Shavout - cheesecake
Rosh Hashanah - honey cake
Moon Festival/Chuseok/etc - moon cakes, songpyeon, etc
Diwali - mithai
Day of the dead - pan, salad
11/11 - pocky/peppero day
Dec 13 - Swedish saffron buns
