Mac version crashes immediately every time

So I was playing the game on my MacBook Pro and it was running great, but all of a sudden it froze. So I had to stop it via Steam. I reopened it, but it immediately crashed. Tried again - same thing. Every time I tried to launch the game it would immediately crash. So I uninstalled the game, and reinstalled. But it didn't help, it still crashes every time I try to launch the game. (Verified files and turned off Steam overlay which didn't help either.) I don't know what to do here. Anyone else experience this?
