Finally…as horrible as it is

Ever since I had to start taking on the gluten free diet seriously (long story), my family has been assholes about it. They never get me food when they order in pizza and wings, they never check labels or allergy warnings, get mad at me when I refuse to eat their food and yell at me for not trusting them (they’ve fed me gluten stuff without my knowledge before!) and never listen to me about my own disease. It’s been a rough few years. And now suddenly, due to his crohn’s, my dad has to go gluten free, and my mom will follow in solidarity. All I can think is THANK GOD!!!!! THEY HAVE TO ACTUALLY BE CAREFUL!!!! THERE WILL BE FOOD I CAN EAT IN THE KITCHEN!!!!!!!!!!!

Is it bad? Celebrating his pain like this? Sometimes I don’t care, I’ve suffered enough, but the guilt tugs at me. Whatever. I’m just happy I don’t have to starve anymore.
