Sound Machine

Has anyone had any recent experience with taking a sound machine onboard? I’ve seen several people say they had no issues, but plenty more say that their machine was confiscated. The one I have can double as a Bluetooth speaker so I figure that’s a no-go, but open to buying a new one if there’s one Carnival will allow.
