Seriously, when is driving fun?
As someone who grew up watching Top Gear, enjoys keeping up with cars and also spends a decent amount of time looking on here or thinking about my next car purchase, I have to ask: where is this ‘fun’ that people are supposed to be having when driving?
I thought that it was because 90% of my driving currently is either on a motorway or inner-city 30 zones, but last weekend I did a cross country route for an hour or so, and even that was either stressful (tiny lanes with blind corners where vans or range rovers come barrelling around), or decent A-roads where you’re stuck behind a tractor or 10 cars the whole way.
FWIW I’m driving a petrol 2022 Ford focus st-line, but I’m wondering if people are actually having fun with their driving or is it something else that gives them the joy of owning certain cars?
