Where do we have to submit our phones if we travel alone for the interview

Hi, I have a question regarding the interview process. Since mobile phones are not allowed during the interview, what do candidates who travel alone for the interview do with their phones? Is there usually a designated place by the interview committee to submit and collect them afterward, or do we need to make alternate arrangements? One of my interview is at IIM Trichy and the other one at a hotel .
