Black souls 2 start

Guys I started bs 2 after getting all the endings of bs 1, I loved that game. When I started bs 1 I got into it in less than 5 minutes, but w bs2 it's just... different. It doesn't feel right to me, the powerscaling, the characters, the lack of nature and companions, idk I just don't like it rn. Does it get better if I continue playing or should I just drop it and play bs1 again? (I'm at 3h rn, and I almost only farmed and I'm still too weak)
