Discharged - thank you!!!
As of January 21st, I was discharged on more than $73k of total debt. I can't believe it! I'm debt free and will stay that way. Thanks so much to EVERYONE in this group - without your support, I may not have actually filed for bankruptcy. I'm so fking glad I did and would recommend this path to anyone who has struggled with debt for at least a couple of years.
I already have been approved for a $5k CapitalOne card - only to rebuild my credit - and my credit score is currently around 712, better than it's been in years. It's all very new to me - but I vow to stay out of debt, have been tracking spending closely and will never let myself go where I went in debt, ever ever again.
Now - the fun part! I am self-employed and am able to deduct credit card interest. So how do I go about contacting my creditors for those months that I no longer have accessible statements?
Has anyone ever successfully done this? If so, I'd love to hear from you.
Thanks!!!
