Asked to bake for a white elephant party

I was invited to a white elephant party with people I don't know! The person who invited me, my best friend, said it would be nice if I brought food along with the gift.... what do I bring?

I was thinking a loaf of banana or zucchini bread, maybe some sourdough pretzels if I'm feeling fancy... but that might also be a terrible idea, and I need help coming up with something to bring.
